A couple of weeks ago I started and finished a couple of small items that I haven't gotten around to blogging about. These are both gifts and were quick knits. First is a little pink scarf for my neice's 5th birthday. She was born on September 11th, 2001 (in Washington DC!). It always seems such a miracle that on that dreadful day wonderful things did happen. I hear she likes pink and she loves to dress up, so this should provide some fun. This is Lamb's Pride worsted alternated with GGH Amelie and Squiggle held together and knit lenthwise.
Secondly, I made this little moebius bowl for my One Skein Secret Pal. It's the final package and I'll be mailing it off soon. I never actually did buy the One Skein book, though I have looked at it and liked the felted bowl pattern. I just keep coming back to Cat Bordhi's designs. I could probably knit them in my sleep since this must be at least the 10th one I've made. It only takes a few hours to make and they are such lovely gifts. This one is made with 1 skein of Cascade Pastaza (50% llama, 50% wool).
By the way, my room as a kid was pink and green and I loved it! I had great big pink flowered wall paper with green accents. Pink and green together always remind me of my girlhood room! How 70's is that!
