I'm working away on Charlotte's Web and finding it an interesting knit. I don't think I could do it while watching tv, but I like to listen to the radio or iPod while knitting it. I'm finished with the color on the left and am now on the solid part of color # 2. This is my official entry for July Project Spectrum.
I know I said no more quilts, but I guess that was just for Project Spectrum because I whipped out this little quickie on Tuesday and Wednesday. It's for a raffle at an upcoming homeschool conference.
Here's a close up of the words:
This is an adaptation of the Moody Greens quilt. I machine quilted it all in straight lines (the only type of machine quilting I can do decently). I put the pink corner squares in different places and rather than doing the plain squares all one color I thought I'd do a transition. I'm not quite sure if it works, but it looks good enough for a raffle. I'm also planning to enter it in the Deschutes County Fair, along with several other things I'm working on. Deadline for entries is next Friday, so I better get cracking.
I felted the Entrelac Bag today and I think it looks really good. Photos to come when it's dry and I put on the handle.
Here's another project that's coming right along. The Lady Eleanor Scarf is about 2/3rds done. I'm going to finish the last ball of Noro Silk Garden and call it a day. I love knitting this pattern, it's not a chore at all and works well for tv knitting.
Lastly, Chloe made a threaded bowl yesterday. We only had the little sample piece of Super Solvy, so it had to be rather small. And, as it turned out, she did a little too much sewing on it. It would be nice to have it more lacy, but all in all, she did a great job and she's really proud of it. When we get some more Super Solvy, we'll give it another try. The great thing is that it uses up leftovers of yarn, fabric and thread scraps, so all you need to buy is the Super Solvy and the thread.
