We had a wonderful Halloween here, including a couple of days of events. The first was the High Desert Museum's Howl-o-ween. We brought Harry Potter and an ancient Greecian and they had fun with some friends there. Chloe even got the most orginal costume award. Please note that the Gryffindor scarf did indeed get finished!
Today we had pumpkin carving and trick-or-treating! Ryan decided to change to a sheriff costume, but he was still escorting an ancient Greecian! Loads of candy was gathered and fun was had by all. I even got some knitting in this evening. I am down to the toe decreases on the first of the second pair of Socktoberfest socks. I'm thrilled to have gotten this far and I have to thank Lolly for starting the whole thing. Without the impetus, these may have lingered as all my other socks have! Thanks Lolly!
Lastly, here's a photo of my fingerless mitts which may or may not count for Warm Hands. I really enjoyed this quick pattern and I'm sure I'll be making more in the future. Meanwhile, I've joined the Fuzzy Feet knitalong and just couldn't help casting on this morning. Photos to come after gifting. Happy Halloween!
