Just a little something extra
I made one more little thing for the Community Baby Shower on Monday. This little hat is a simple baby hat made with some leftover Rowan Calmer. It's sitting on a stack of fabric I picked up on Saturday at the Stitchin' Post in an effort to brighten up the stash.
By the way, I had a lovely afternoon in Sisters all by myself on Saturday. I spent a good long time in the Stitchin' Post, then as I was leaving discovered a brand new wool shop, called Baabaara's Wild and Wooly. They sell handspun wool, rovings and fleece. I asked about spinning lessons and they said they would come soon. In fact, she was already to give me a spindle lesson right there, but had sold the last spindle that morning. They have a nice list of free demonstrations and classes in April and will be doing things like felted eggs, dyeing, knitting, needle felting and wet felting. Very cool!
There's more tulip love around here. I couldn't resist the velvety tomato color of these beauties.
Lastly, I keep forgetting to update my runagogo mileage. So far it's 60 miles. That's mostly walking, but there is some bike riding and one snowshoe tour. It's been fun and I'm not nearly as far along as I had hoped. With only 2.5 weeks left, I've got a long way to go. Luckily, the warm weather has arrived for the time being. We are having lovely spring-like days (here that means 50's and 60's- and occasionally in the 70's like on Sunday).
