It's Fair Time!

Me and three friends went to the fair today!  We got the unlimited rides wristbands and went on $100 worth of rides.  

Bumper cars was a lot of fun.  We went on that about 10 times.  We didn't think it would be very fun, but we went in the fun house anyways.  (It lived up to expectations.)

I entered 2 photos, and knitted blanket, a collage, and computer art in the fair.  I did considerably less well than last year.  (Three 2nds, one 3rd this year, a grand champion, a 1st and a 2nd last year.)  Ah well.  It might have had something to do with the fact that I didn't even finish the collage and computer art until the day I had to bring it in!

Say hi to Piper!

I got my cockatiel!  Some of the people reading this will know about my wanting one, but some of you don't.  Anyway, I've been waiting about 6 months, but I finally got one.

This is Piper.  She hatched May 20th and although I won't know for sure, the breeder and I guess that she's a girl.  She's a lutino; light yellow all over and red eyes.  

Here she is on her little playground my dad and I made for her.  

This is her very big cage.  Heheh.  At this very moment she's actually sleeping in it.

A kind of funny thing is that Scrabble seems to be afraid of her...  But that's definitely a good thing!
